Taelim Kang Welcomed into Professional Pharmacy Program at ACPHS White Coat Ceremony

2013 Sep 30

The White Coat Ceremony is an annual tradition in which Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty members formally welcome students into the first year of the professional pharmacy program.

Taelim Kang of Bayside, NY was among the 239 students at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to be recognized at this milestone ceremony.

During this event, faculty present students with their white coats, symbolizing a commitment by students to become competent and caring professionals. Students then recite, in unison, the Pledge of Professionalism. The pledge is their commitment to building and reinforcing a "professional identity founded on integrity, ethical behavior, and honor."

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences hosted White Coat ceremonies for students on the Vermont and Albany Campuses on September 20 and September 27 respectively. Family, friends, students, faculty and staff attended the events.
